U.S. New Home Sales Rose 1.3% In October

(For October 2011)

U.S. new home sales rose 1.3% to 307.000 SAAR; Consensus was  at 315.000 SAAR, prior reading (revised downward 10.000) was at 303.000 SAAR.

Months of supplies fell from 6.4 to 6.3 months. Backlog of unsold new homes remained at 162.000.
