U.S. Consumer Price Index Rose 0.4% In August

(For August 2011)

U.S. consumer price index rose 0.4% in August vs. 0.2% consensus and July reading of 0.5%. On year level CPI inflation is running at 3.8%.

Consumer price index less food & energy came at 0.2%. July reading  and consensus were also at 0.2%. On year level CPI core inflation is running at 2.0%.
