U.S. Durable Goods New Orders Fell 1.3% In November

(For November 2010)

Durable goods new orders fell 1.3% in November vs. -0.5% consensus and -3.1% revised increase in October (revised upwards from -3.3%).

Transportation taken out the figure was an increase of 2.4% vs. 1.9% fall in October (revised upwards from -2.7%). The consensus was at +1.8%.

Mixed bag of data; bulls and bears could find their arguments here. The orders are rising, but the pace of improvements is falling.
